The club holds three auctions a year in Autumn, Winter and Spring at the Horace Don Pavilion in the Kyneton Showgrounds. They are Helmsman style auctions which provide buyers the opportunity to talk about the birds on offer with the sellers and our friendly club members. We have had all manner of poultry on offer including quail, laying hens, show birds, breeding trios, guinea fowl, geese, ducks and even the odd peafowl.
The auction is held between 11.30am and 1.00pm. Buyer registration is $2.00 which includes a pencil and notepad.
Pens hold 3 birds maximum and are sold as one lot to the highest bidder. All transactions are cash only and between the seller and buyer with the club taking no further commissions.
The club reserves the right to refuse entry to any bird not presented in an healthy disease free state. The auction is conducted by volunteers who are only too happy to be of assistance.
A sausage sizzle is available along with other hot and cold refreshments for your enjoyment. Boxes are available to take home your special purchase @ a small fee.
We hold raffles on the day, which may be birds or bags of wheat and feed.

Penning is between 10.00am and 11.30 am.
Pens two sizes – bantam pens are $3.00, standard and turkey pens $4.00. with a 3 bird maximum and sold as one lot. Note: We also have a small number of larger pens for Geese and Peacocks.
Are $2.00 a dozen in cabinet, or $3.00 in cages (any amount of eggs)

Boxes are available on the day to purchase at a small fee. There are also sites for stalls and Sundry goods. Sundry goods are $3.00 for most items. Outside Stalls @ $15.00 for regular sites. It is advisable to book you Pens early to avoid disappointment.
